Human Face Processing & Memory Lab
The Human Face Processing & Memory Lab studies face
processing and memory in human participants, with a focus on how emotional
faces (i.e., happy, sad, angry, disgusted) influence processing and memory. In
the present study, participates received brief presentations of faces (neutral
vs. happy and neutral vs. angry) and geometric shapes (as a baseline) multiple
times. Following the presentation of the stimuli, they were then given a memory
task and asked if they have seen a face of shape before during which the
participant’s memory performance (recognition accuracy) and memory response
times for faces & shapes were recoded.
